we're a family of three living in oakland, california. as a new mother i'm working on creating and appreciating all those simple and wonderful moments in life that slip by so fast. the danish have a word for these moments that we cherish...' hygge.' this is what i live for. to be able to recognize and be present when life really happens to you is my constant and lifetime goal. this blog is a way of documenting and sharing these moments of 'hygge.'
we had arrived in the redwood forest.... still had a couple of days before we would attend a wedding in the middle of the eel river....
this rock had miraculously turned into a heart...
these miniature plants were somehow surviving in the sand alongside the eel river... doing just fine it seemed...
Cady, these are just beautiful!!! I love my artistic kids. (That third one looks fake. Did you buy those at Michael's and stick them in the sand?)
